Ken Weatherwax, Pugsley on ‘The Addams Family,’ Dead at 59

   Actor Ken Weatherwax has died at the age of 59 following a heart attack, according to TMZ.

   A woman saying she is Weatherwax’s niece posted the news on Facebook.

   Weatherwax is best known for playing Pugsley Addams on the original “Addams Family” television series, later voicing the character in the animated series and playing Pugsley Sr. in TV movie, “Halloween with the New Addams Family.”

   The actor was born Kenneth Patrick Weatherwax on 29 September 1955 in Los Angeles. Showbiz ran in the family: His aunt was the 1930s Warner Bros. dancing star Ruby Keeler (42nd Street) and his uncle was Lassie's trainer, Rudd Weatherwax.

   Ken started his career on toothpaste commercials then going on to his most memorable roll as Pugsley Addams on the Addams Family. Later worked behind the camera as a grip and set builder, frequently making appearances at “Addams Family” fan and tribute events.
